Length Picture July 2013

I'm so sad right now I don't feel like commenting this horrible picture. :-(

My hair once used to cover my entire back. Now see what's left after two horrific shedding phases. It's pathetic and makes me wanna cry. My hair has never before been in such a terrible state and I have no idea why that is. I feel kinda betrayed since I've really been good to my hair. My long hair journey might be over soon.......

  1. I see it as quite beautiful....not everyone can be JJJ and grow floor length with perfect volume...stay the course with your trimming schedule and I'll wager a year from now you will be glad you did.

But no matter how you decide, thanks for sharing your journey!

  2. Maybe my hair is just not made for "extreme" length.
I have to thank you for supporting me with your sweet and encouraging comments. They mean a lot to me!

  3. Hi Cubelixa, just stay strong. I know how emotional shedding and hair thinning can be. It happened to me 8 months after having my daughter, as women tend to lose a lot of hair after having a baby.
To camouflage the shedding I am using Kerastase masquintense treatment for fine hair (despite my hair not being fine as such) and their volume shampoo which helps to pump the hair up a bit. I also tried your oil prewash and while it did make my hair appear healthier and shinier, it also made it look thinner.

Stay strong, the telogen phase should only last somewhere between 2-4 months (I know too long and too much when every single hair is precious). This article made me feel a bit better since it shows a new healthy hair pushing out the old hair lol

    You are doing great :)
